Outbreak Manila

Out of boredom I made fake blood that’s good enough to eat! (hint: chocolate) :P Don’t you just love fx makeup?! LOL so ye, I am really excited for Outbreak Manila this Saturday, July 28th! My school, Makeup Design Academy, is the official makeup team since it started (proud alumnus). No, I dint attend school for fx makeup but thank God for YouTube! Seriously!!!! You learn so many things in an instant! Last Halloween I did the same look but it was more of a glam zombie look.

But ye, this is just a quick post hihi, wanted to share what I did while watching True Blood. For more makeup tips and whatnot, do drop by my Facebook page! (:

Oh! And see you there!

Review: Charm Travel Pro V3 Brush Set

So I’ve been looking for a great travel brush set and loads are being sold online.. I can’t seem to find a set that’s compact and complete until I came across the Charm Travel Pro V3 Brush Set! And lucky me, it was on sale for Php2,000.00 (pre-buy deal) when I saw it! BUT, I dint click the checkout button just yet hihi. I am very particular when buying brushes (or anything) especially when I haven’t touched or seen it personally. I have to know if it’s soft, not scratchy, quality is awesome and whatnot.. so I googled reviews and videos. Only after seeing Lush Angel‘s video convinced me to get this set, seriously! Must be her charm! (:

Charm Travel Pro V3 is a 14-piece brush set made from the softest bristles guaranteed to help you achieve beautiful looks wherever you may be! What I also love is that the pouch it comes with is big enough to fit my everyday beauty essentials, how awesome is that?! AWE-SOME! lol

The set includes:

  • Stippling Brush
  • Powder Brush
  • Foundation Brush
  • Angled Blush Brush
  • Concealer Brush
  • Wet/Dry Eyeshadow Brush
  • Blending Brush
  • Pencil Point Brush
  • Angled Eyeshadow Brush
  • Flat Liner Brush
  • Bent Eyeliner Brush
  • Eyebrow Shading Brush
  • Brow Spoolie
  • Lip Brush
  • and of course, a classy-sassy black faux croc pouch with hot pink zippers and lining!

Added 5 more tools that I can’t just seem to part with: tiny concealer brush, Trim tweezers, Sigma SS217, Sonia Kashuk crease brush, MAC 266 for my brows (it’s the best brow brush there is).

Comparing Charm Travel Pro with my other travel-sized brushes (MAC and Sigma):

And I got a freebie, cool beans! :P

And did a look last night cos I can’t sleep and figured might as well test the brushes! Ps: Shameless plugging: LIKE my Facebook page! :P

Washed, tried and tested! Overall, I am pretty impressed and satisfied with the Charm Travel Pro V3! So happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend this to all brush-junkies/makeup enthusiast out there!

Everyday Quick Face Routine

Not everyone is born with nice skin and cannot not wear makeup everyday, even if you’re lazy like me, you still have a simple routine to make your skin look flawless, right?

My routine changes from time to time, but for the moment this is what I do especially that my skin broke out like crazy and I’m trying to cover blemishes, thank God for Skin101, my skin is slowly getting better. But ye, I definitely do not go through a complicated routine cos I’m always on the go. This routine suits our weather too, might be raining from time to time but it’s mostly hot and humid here in the Philippines and I like to do something that I can literally do in a few minutes!

So daily, I opt for this routine that requires basically no complicated skills of any sort. And the best bonus of all is that it looks natural and covers just as well as liquid foundation!

ps: this ain’t easy! Kudos to YouTube makeup gurus! (and the like)

December Haul

Leopard wideleg, Pink Manila | White polo with metal tipped collar, ROMWE | NOVI shoe care products, Call It Spring | MAC Penulitimate eye liner | Givenchy Pandora (Medium) in Aubergine, ADORA | Miller sandals, Tory Burch
Originally, I wanted the Celine Nano Luggage bag but then I saw this girl went in at Adora carrying that purse in yellow and it was so freakin’ tiny (cute though) then Mum said I should get the Givenchy Pandora instead since I carry tons in my bag (but it would be awesome to have a Celine Nano as well bahaha). So ye, I was choosing over the Aubergine Mini, Bright Orange (kinda fluo) Small and an Aubergine Medium.. ended up with the medium one hihi. To make the long (non-sense) story short.. I got more than what I expected for Christmas! Thanks so much, Mum! (: Ye, she was in the mood last night.. even my sisters went cray cray!
How’s your December so far? Mine sure ain’t Decemblur!

Staple Lipstick

This is a blog response to Pika’s post.
I own a lot of MAC lipsticks but I’d say that my all time favorite would have to be Mocha (Satin). It is “peachy-yellow brown” as described by MAC with a creamy consistency and comes off very opaque, tends to look pink in certain lights though.. which is cool and pretty. I think it’s the perfect everyday lipstick for me cos it’s like my lips only better! It gives me a polished look even without make-up on and I love that MAC lipsticks are vanilla scented hihi!
Look how little it is.. It’s really loved lol!
