Review: Charm Travel Pro V3 Brush Set

So I’ve been looking for a great travel brush set and loads are being sold online.. I can’t seem to find a set that’s compact and complete until I came across the Charm Travel Pro V3 Brush Set! And lucky me, it was on sale for Php2,000.00 (pre-buy deal) when I saw it! BUT, I dint click the checkout button just yet hihi. I am very particular when buying brushes (or anything) especially when I haven’t touched or seen it personally. I have to know if it’s soft, not scratchy, quality is awesome and whatnot.. so I googled reviews and videos. Only after seeing Lush Angel‘s video convinced me to get this set, seriously! Must be her charm! (:

Charm Travel Pro V3 is a 14-piece brush set made from the softest bristles guaranteed to help you achieve beautiful looks wherever you may be! What I also love is that the pouch it comes with is big enough to fit my everyday beauty essentials, how awesome is that?! AWE-SOME! lol

The set includes:

  • Stippling Brush
  • Powder Brush
  • Foundation Brush
  • Angled Blush Brush
  • Concealer Brush
  • Wet/Dry Eyeshadow Brush
  • Blending Brush
  • Pencil Point Brush
  • Angled Eyeshadow Brush
  • Flat Liner Brush

Lash Experiment: Smashbox Lash Revival Result (Week 8)

Week 8: Oct. 2

So here is the result of the Lash Experiment.. and I am pretty pleased! (: (compared to Day 1)
The lashes on my right eye are so long and full compared to my left eye which is a tad bit short on the fullness department but they’re still long. Even more beautiful with mascara on too! I’m so happy that my lashes are back.. not like before though but you get what I mean. I feel pretty again haha! Oh.. and I tried using it on my brows for a week, only the conditioning side, I was amazed that it also worked! I will continue using this product until I finish the tube then maybe try other products out there that are promising enough. Smashbox Lash Revival is definitely a product worth to try if you want to make and keep your lashes healthy. IT TRULY WORKS!!! :D

Brow Resurrection

I was born with thin, faint colored and unshaped brows. Like seriously, I look like I don’t have any brows if I don’t fill them in. This made me super OC when it comes to my brows.. and yes, I’ve been a victim of over plucking too but luckily they grew out but still I’m not satisfied with it. Then I saw Michelle Phan’s video about temporary eyebrow tattoo (by Erabelle) so I researched for years until I came across number of blogs, videos and Browhaus (Manila).
Browhaus is your one-stop brow and lash grooming salon, built for the image-conscious urbanite who demands not just function, but function and style. Being a Brow OC I decided, of course with my mum’s permission too, to get Brow Resurrection 2.4 done and be over with my lifetime misery.
Now what is Brow Resurrection 2.4? “BR 2.4” is very different with tattoo and embroidery (which Erabelle does). It’s a Japanese technique where they slice open your skin with a blade that’s dipped into ink; this technique results in a more natural looking eyebrow than a tattooed one would look. You get a finer and more lifelike brows that mimics real brow hair with longest durability. The dye used to color is 100% non-toxic and safe. If pain is your concern, don’t let that hold you back cos they put a cream anesthetic which makes the process pain-free, ‘no trauma drama” treatment!
I had 3 sesh done with them (at Serendra by let’s just call her “J”). My first BR 2.4 (Feb. 20) took like 2hours.. it was pain-free and I was kinda asleep the entire time and woke up to dark Frida brows! It was natural at first cos she had to really pack the color in for it to last then I had to go back after 2 months for my Tune-Up (retouch). I had to buy their Build & Fix kit too, which helped a lot with the healing process and avoid getting my brows wet for at least 7 days. Then came the second sesh/Tune-up (April 10), same procedure and I really needed that retouch cos some of the dye dint stick to my skin. The third and last sesh (MAy 21) was pretty quick cos I only had my left eyebrow done cos the dye really won’t stick and I don’t like the shape. But ye, brows aren’t supposed to be twins anyways but sisters so I dint mind getting my fourth anymore.

Pretty Holly, this girl instantly made me say yes to go for BR 2.4! Hahaha!

So here are photos of my Browhaus Brow Resurrection 2.4 experience. Wasn’t able to take photos of the procedure cos they forbid me from doing so, boo.. and the photos are not in order cos I lost the photos of my first visit ‘cept for the 4th photo and the rest are from my 2nd sesh. To see what my brows look like now, see this post.

BR 2.4 isn’t cheap at all but it was worth it! I don’t have to bother filling my brows in ‘cept for times that I wanna look really made up. I’m quite happy with the result but still thinking of getting it done next time I go abroad after the “tattoo” has faded cos the quality of work here is very different abroad.. idk but the results I saw with the others are so nice. Mine is still kinda messy. You know what I mean? Haha but ye.. saving up for that! I really want those “perfect” clean brows!!!

Lash Experiment: Smashbox Lash Revival (Day1)

Still not losing hope of growing my long lashes back; I decided to give this little one a try. I’ve read and watched reviews. Every person got different results and I wouldn’t know if it would work the same on me so let’s wait and see.
All this trouble cos of a bad lash extension experience.. hayy.. never again!

Treatment applicator

Conditioner applicator

What it is: A revolutionary 2-in-1 treatment and conditioning duo that creates noticeably longer, lusher lashes in as little as 8 weeks.
What it does: This treatment contains SymPeptide, a complex proven to stimulate lashes without irritation while anchoring and enhancing existing lashes. Independent consumer studies show that 90% of subjects notice an overall improvement in the appearance of lash length, fullness, and thickness in just 8 weeks.
Formulated without: Parabeans
How to use it: Lash Revival is best used as an overnight treatment, and should not be applied more than once every 24 hours. Ensure that lashline is completely clean and dry. Apply the treatment like eye liner along the lashline sparingly. Once the treatment is dry, generously brush the conditioner through lashes.
NOTE: Other eye products including eye creams, gels, etc. should be applied only after the treatment and conditioner are completely dry.
This clever little multi-tasker works great on over-tweezed or sparse brows too! (Will try it after this tube. For now, let’s concentrate on my lashes first!)
Lash Treatment INGREDIENTS: Water (Aqua, Eau), Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Apiqenin, Oleanolic Acid, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Sodium DNA, Potassium Glutathione Isomerized Linoleate, Biotin, Panthenol, Cellulose Gum, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Citrate.

Instantly roll away dark circles!

If y’all read my “skincare” post, you know that I use the regular Garnier Light Brightening Eye roll-on to hydrate my eye area. I’ve seen the Light BB Eye roll-on on YouTube a lot and been waiting for it to arrive here in Manila and now it did! So I got myself a tube to test out.
Garnier Light BB Eye roll-on retails for P229.00 but for some reason I got it for only P199.00, must be a new product promo thing hihi, lucky me! Now, we all know that lack of sleep and daily fatigue make eyes look tired. Microcirculation slows and the delicate skin around the eyes becomes thinner and more translucent which then results to dark circles. I don’t have dark circles or at least not much of a problem in that department but still I want to look awake and I must say I really like this product cos it instantly brightens my eye area!
What I love:
  • It instantly corrects the appearance of dark circles
  • It brightens then skin around the eyes
  • It is very easy to use and blend
  • Can be used to substitute your expensive concealer
  • Dries fast (natural finish)
  • Lessens eye puffiness
  • That cooling effect it gives is soothing
  • And of course, it’s affordable!
What I don’t love:
  • What’s not to love?!
  • Oh don’t substitute this for your heavy coverage concealer if you have serious dark circles.
Overall, I love this product! Specially on those lazy days that I don’t want to put tons of product on my face. I think you should give it a try! With that.. I’ll leave you with Garnier’s favorite tag line “take care”! (:

This was Mr. PJ Lanot’s reply:

My response:

Ok, let’s just say it might be one of Facebook’s glitch but I dint block Burger Project’s account (as you’ve read on my posts). But anyways, since you took action right away, thanks for that. We really appreciate it. And sure hope you will really do it and not just tell us you will do this and that just to please our ears –know what I mean. We just want to let you know what your employees did and to do something about it. It will not benefit us that much anyways. In fact, it will be more for your sake. So ye, having said that.. All is well now. Again, thanks so much and God bless you too.

I am in rage!

Sorry but I just have to let it out. Mute, block or delete me.. I don’t care. This is a follow-up on my “Saturday Night” post. Exit this page if you don’t wanna hear me rant at all. Please and thank you!
So PJ Lanot messaged me last Saturday and wasn’t able to read it ’til this afternoon and of course my initial response was to reply, but when I was bout to send my message this note popped out “Send Failed: That item has been deleted..”. I tried searching for this person on Facebook, can’t find him even Brgr Burger Project’s page. But my friend told me she can view their page and they have mutual friends and that her friend knows PJ Lanot. In short,PJ Lanot and Brgr Burger Project blocked me! Can you believe that?! First off, why would you message me and then delete the message right away? Do you really give a damn? Don’t hide and put up with your employees’ fault! Instead, you should be doing everything you can to satisfy your customers and see what you can do to improve your service. People won’t go back to your burger joint if you’ll tolerate this kind of attitude. The customer is always right! Word of mouth, bad news travels fast and it can be hard to stop.
