Brow Resurrection

I was born with thin, faint colored and unshaped brows. Like seriously, I look like I don’t have any brows if I don’t fill them in. This made me super OC when it comes to my brows.. and yes, I’ve been a victim of over plucking too but luckily they grew out but still I’m not satisfied with it. Then I saw Michelle Phan’s video about temporary eyebrow tattoo (by Erabelle) so I researched for years until I came across number of blogs, videos and Browhaus (Manila).
Browhaus is your one-stop brow and lash grooming salon, built for the image-conscious urbanite who demands not just function, but function and style. Being a Brow OC I decided, of course with my mum’s permission too, to get Brow Resurrection 2.4 done and be over with my lifetime misery.
Now what is Brow Resurrection 2.4? “BR 2.4” is very different with tattoo and embroidery (which Erabelle does). It’s a Japanese technique where they slice open your skin with a blade that’s dipped into ink; this technique results in a more natural looking eyebrow than a tattooed one would look. You get a finer and more lifelike brows that mimics real brow hair with longest durability. The dye used to color is 100% non-toxic and safe. If pain is your concern, don’t let that hold you back cos they put a cream anesthetic which makes the process pain-free, ‘no trauma drama” treatment!
I had 3 sesh done with them (at Serendra by let’s just call her “J”). My first BR 2.4 (Feb. 20) took like 2hours.. it was pain-free and I was kinda asleep the entire time and woke up to dark Frida brows! It was natural at first cos she had to really pack the color in for it to last then I had to go back after 2 months for my Tune-Up (retouch). I had to buy their Build & Fix kit too, which helped a lot with the healing process and avoid getting my brows wet for at least 7 days. Then came the second sesh/Tune-up (April 10), same procedure and I really needed that retouch cos some of the dye dint stick to my skin. The third and last sesh (MAy 21) was pretty quick cos I only had my left eyebrow done cos the dye really won’t stick and I don’t like the shape. But ye, brows aren’t supposed to be twins anyways but sisters so I dint mind getting my fourth anymore.

Pretty Holly, this girl instantly made me say yes to go for BR 2.4! Hahaha!

So here are photos of my Browhaus Brow Resurrection 2.4 experience. Wasn’t able to take photos of the procedure cos they forbid me from doing so, boo.. and the photos are not in order cos I lost the photos of my first visit ‘cept for the 4th photo and the rest are from my 2nd sesh. To see what my brows look like now, see this post.

BR 2.4 isn’t cheap at all but it was worth it! I don’t have to bother filling my brows in ‘cept for times that I wanna look really made up. I’m quite happy with the result but still thinking of getting it done next time I go abroad after the “tattoo” has faded cos the quality of work here is very different abroad.. idk but the results I saw with the others are so nice. Mine is still kinda messy. You know what I mean? Haha but ye.. saving up for that! I really want those “perfect” clean brows!!!

DIY: Feather Hair Extensions

Birds of a feather, flock together!

According to Fine Feather Heads, who started this trend, feather hair extensions takes less than a couple minutes to put, with no damage to hair. And they can be brushed, blow-dried, straightened and curled!

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Hilary Duff sporting the trend. Lav et!

Uhh.. how ’bout Steven Tyler? Rockstar waves, braids, feathers and raccoon tails?! I still think he’s awesome though..

Here are a couple of “How To” videos from our favorite YouTube gurus, Kandee Johnson and Mischelle Phan, showing us how easy it is to put feather hair extensions:

Have fun being all feathery and fabulous! Tee hee (:
